Where the Road Ends: Guatemala –> Costa Rica

December 24, 2017:  We’ve crossed into Guatemala! It all started with a unexpected wait of 8 hours to enter the country. Once we navigated that bureaucracy, we spent the night in a lively little city called Ciudad Tecun Uman where we got a great meal and managed to get the boar parked inside the hotel.

December 25, 2017: Feliz Navidad!! ‘Tis the season for riding twisties in the mountains of Guatemala! We spent Christmas Eve doing just that, and now we’re taking a rest day at a hostel near Antigua. Only a few weeks before we tackle the Darien Gap! #unstoppable#merrychristmas #advlife

December 31, 2017: After we left Antigua it was recommended that we head down the Guatemalan coast. We ended up staying in a quiet little beach resort area with black sand just east of a another beach village called Hawaii. The next day as we were making our run to the El Salvadorian border it was either a 3 hour back track to the main road or a 10 minute ferry ride to a dirt road which would take us half the time. Though we were initially skeptical of this ferry, we made a great decision. #wheretheroadendsmoto#hellotrouble #unstoppable #guatemala

So far Guatemala has been one of our favorites, for sure. Not every day you get to send the Gerber Gear Black Boar down a river! #unstoppable
