Stetson Blaylock makes first Bassmaster Elite Cut

QCrew Water Team member Stetson Blaylock was rarin’ to go this morning as he waited for takeoff on Day 3 at the Lake Okeechobee Elite Series event. For good reason: this is Blaylock’s first time making the Top 50 cut in his rookie Elite season, and it comes in a state that he has a love/hate relationship with.

“Florida is just a different place,” Blaylock says. “I’ve done really well here in some events, and really poorly, too. It’s not just Lake Okeechobee, it’s everywhere we fish down here. If you can get your bait in front of the right ones, you can do really well. Or, you can be within 10 yards of the guy catching 25 pounds, and you can’t get bit.”

Here’s hoping that Stetson is the “25-pound guy” today!
