Quicksilver BMW R100RS
Our friend Kevin Hill named this outstanding 1983 BMW R100RS custom build “Quicksilver” after us (about 50 years after us, but that’s another story). This very clean ‘silver on silver’ cafe racer features contrasting slate grey leather, fully adjustable period handle bars, Raask rearsets, front and rear Brembo brakes, and Hagon shocks. Black upswept cocktail shaker mufflers that make this 1000cc flat twin sound really raucous.
Kevin is the founder and main creative genius of Kevil’s Speed Shop. He fell for bikes early on in life when his father took him to the Bristol Motorcycle Show in the 1970s where he got hooked bikes and he’s been working in the motor industry since the early 1980s. Kevil’s custom-made motorcycles are classic, retro vintage and full of cool with an iconic signature style.
According to Kevin, the Quicksilver build was conceived after he was inundated by customers with requests inquiring about a bike in time for spring. The shop decided to design and build an iconic signature Kevils cafe racer for stock to have something available in inventory. That also provided the freedom to build a bike that caters for all tastes. This iconic bike was soon snapped up within 24 hours, thanks to social media, by a businessman from London. The customer had kept a keen eye on Kevil’s work for a long while, attending many of the cool new wave custom shows at which they showed their work.
Final build details include:

Photographed on location at a local devon dockyard we’re sure you’ll agree the bike looks stunning against such a apocalyptic back drop.
