Quicksilver Marine Parts & Accessories Partners with Colligate Level Fishing Team

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (March 1, 2017) – Quicksilver Marine Parts & Accessories has announced a partnership with Virginia Tech’s bass fishing team, which won a collegiate national championship a decade ago in its first year of competition.

“Quicksilver Marine Parts & Accessories is excited about its partnership with the Virginia Tech collegiate fishing team,” said Eric Reilley, Quicksilver Products, marketing manager, aftermarket products. “Getting to know these young up-and-coming fishermen and being able to watch these guys grow into elite fishermen will increase awareness of the Quicksilver brand to the younger market.”

“We are in college, funding isn’t at an all-time high for the guys on the team, but we want to run the best and work with the best,” said R.C Sutton, VT sponsor rep/officer. “The opportunity with Quicksilver Products helps us stay on the water and keep our motors in top condition.”

Besides being the 2007 B.A.S.S National Champions its first year, The Virginia Tech collegiate fishing team was ranked first nationally in 2012 and earned 27 top-10 spots the last six seasons. In addition, the VT team has qualified four teams for the FLW National Collegiate Championship on Wheeler Lake in Rogersville, Ala., May 31 – June 2.
