Keep Two-Stroke Engines Running Strong

Your two-stroke marine engine is a hard-working machine. You ask it run under heavy load at wide-open throttle for extended periods, a duty cycle that could destroy an automotive engine. Even more challenging for two-stroke marine engines are extended periods of operation at low speeds, for example when trolling for fish or navigating long no-wake zones. This can cause the engine to run below its ideal operating temperature. Weather extremes can range from blistering heat to the very cold air and water temperatures experienced on early- and late-season angling and hunting expeditions. To protect marine two-stroke engines in every situation, Quicksilver lubricant engineers have created engine oils that are up for any challenge.

Quicksilver two-stroke oil products exceed the basic TC-W3® industry standard and the latest AF27 Lubricity Test. There are many two-stroke oils that carry the TC-W3® certification, but that’s the minimum standard. Quicksilver two-stroke oils go far beyond that standard to provide greater protection against corrosion, carbon buildup and piston ring sticking while providing outstanding lubrication for internal moving parts under the most stressful conditions.

Quicksilver two-stroke oils meet manufacturers’ recommendations for all two-stroke outboard motors, including DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) outboards from Evinrude, Yamaha and Mercury Marine. These oils are also recommended for use in two-stroke personal watercraft (PWC) engines.

  • Quicksilver Premium 2-Stroke Outboard Oil is formulated to meet the needs of low-to mid-horsepower carbureted outboard motors under general marine operating conditions, and is a great choice for classic and vintage outboards using pre-mix (oil mixed with gasoline directly in the fuel tank). This quality TC-W3 oil reduces rust and corrosion of internal components. Its all-weather formula provides protection in temperatures down to -13 degrees F (-25 degrees C).
  • Quicksilver Premium Plus Synthetic Blend 2-Stroke Outboard Oil is formulated with a high-concentration marine additive package to meet the needs of high-horsepower two-stroke outboards. Recommend for oil-injected, carbureted or EFI engines, this oil far exceeds the performance of the industry TC-W3 standard. It burns clean to reduce carbon buildup and offers superior lubrication in the most demanding operating conditions.
  • Quicksilver DFI Synthetic Blend 2-Stroke Outboard Oil is specifically formulated to meet the needs of Direct Fuel Injected (DFI) two-stroke outboard engines, including Evinrude E-TEC, Yamaha HPDI and Mercury Marine OptiMax models. A carefully modified base stock blend with a synthetic additive package minimizes carbon buildup to help maintain engine performance and offers superior lubrication for increased resistance to piston scuffing. This oil exceeds all manufacturer warranty requirements and recommendations for use in DFI engines.

Quicksilver marine lubricants are formulated to maintain engine performance and reliability with uncompromising quality and durability. To learn more about Quicksilver marine lubricants, go to
