At Work with QCrew Driver Chris Streit

Quicksilver Powersports QCrew driver Chris Streit and his #15 Porsche GT3 Cup race car brought home two first place finishes in class and a new track record at the NASA Midwest GTS4 races July 31 – Aug 2, 2015.

Chris got the taste for racing cars in 1999 when he attended an amateur event at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin   Having been bitten by the speed bug,  he went to a racing school soon after, got his competition license, and went to Road America the following weekend to compete in a rented racecar.
Never satisfied with 2nd place, Chris decided to learn everything possible about engine, suspension, and chassis modifications and transformed his first racecar.  In a few years he went from a vintage ‘mid-packer’  to multiple national championship podiums in GT classes.  Eventually a platform upgrade was necessary to advance which brought him to his current racecar, a 2001 Porsche GT3 Cup Car.

In the last 10 years Chris has over 90 podium finishes including three NASA National Championship podiums and seven regional championships.  He has also driven various team cars in three 24 hour endurance events.  Currently he is the NASA German Touring Series assistant National Leader.  In addition to running our QS banners on his car, he uses Quicksilver Products in a lot of track equipment including generators and support equipment.

Chris is also sponsored by and
